the real irony is: I read your response...

...so don't bother to tell me about it. I did my research. Frankly, I could care less if you killed such and such character, some were good, others over-rated, others shitty, but really, most of the stuff in here was pretty 1/2 ass.

Like the hand punching link's head off, the eyeball being a quick fbf.
however, some of the fbf was really good, like the explosions, bombs, and the ripping of the stick figures head arm off (etc)

the music was usually pretty lame and just... bleh. The concept for the movie isn't that great, and well, I didn't really care whose sucked the most, because it's a collab, I judge the whole, not fifen when one person does good.

every fad dies, so I guess this should to, because it doesn't matter if you have 100 idiots praise this like morons, they don't really count anyways. This just wasn't very entertaining. I hate most of the stuff you do, but as a movie, this just has no clear-cut point that's worthwhile.

fbf stuff (on the whole) was pretty good, concepts, music, ideas, and animation was pretty lame.

I'll have to admit:

You know how to do presentation, because no ordinary person could use images and colors in such a random fashion so easily, however, I'm not here to give you 5's and 10's based on pretty colors.

The story was non-existant, and the interactivity portion of this was un-needed and only helped to confuse me further. There's no progression, or seeming point, to this entire work. The art looked pretty good, since it wasn't animated much, i'd assume more detail on the characters. The music was alright, although kill bill, and other cliche's take away from your originality.

The voice(s) for this work were not the best. Popping, static, and many times, unable to hit the right tone or mood really hurt this project as well. As a voice actor, I can tell you that voices are most important for establishing good characters and for also bringing the story to life.

Please, PLEASE!!!! work on your story. The randomness and the looks feel great, but what point will it have if it doesn't have a compelling story to make us wonder why and who? Get attached to the characters and want to see more and more because of what will happen next, not 'how will it look?'.

Overall, this is a neat piece that obviously isn't ameture, but it's far from anything I would consider worth-while (in the sense of a great flash) when drawn out over many episodes.

You're on the right track, so keep it up! (I think you had some stuff about voices in your stuff too) Like I said, it looks great, but you need to work hard on all areas. And get rid of that interactivity... it really added nothing to the story that was non-existant. Good attempt at a .hack take, but really, it doesn't work well (without a story behind it!)

best of luck!

Kahze responds:

Old problems are allways worth a second glance, thanks for brining them to my attention once again. Before the reproduction of this project began - a vow was uttered to exterminate these problems once and for all...

ha ha

i only give the score because of technicalities, but i liked it, but the way it looked made me chuckle to myself, so it's pretty funny.

i love that boldness of not giving a shit. nice stuff (even though you didn't really do anything)

neat.

Not bad.

yea, longer stuff is hard to make, but that's the sacrafice for a higher score in my book.

well made for the most part, the graphics were solid, and only a few staticy voices. overall, i thought the end was the funniest. ha ha, good stuff.

the animation probably hurt this the most for me because it was kinda cheap with the unbuttoning and use of tweens.

the music worked enough and the background art, concept (the end still best) worked well.

welcome back to the scene and keep em coming. i'd like a little more fbf, but that's your call.

3.90/5

Sirkowski responds:

I'll take a lower score in exchange of less work anytime.
But thanks. =)

Not bad.

The animation was solid, and the camera angles looked great. I wasn't very impressed by the backgrounds because many of them looked too quick and sloppy in spots.

the music was well picked and the looks of the characters was all right, although sometimes you simplified animations too much with some far-shots with the camera.

i liked the feel and pace of it, and the dragon-something that he flew into was a nice touch.

overall, i like it, although i'd like to see you improve with a 2 color shading style and perhaps some more detailed backdrops.

good work, but can be betterm although i always appreciate the time and effort fbf takes.

a 4 out of 5

O-Ovinnie responds:

thanks for the feedback (8

funny...

Although a littl emore time on the graphics could have made this even better, this was a sarcastic and funny piece of work. the animation was smooth enough, but like i said, generic graphics in some spots hurt it. The joke at the end, well hidden, was excellent and well placed. not too many people got that probably, but it seems you don't like performance art (good).

ha, in the end, i do art too, and i thought this was pretty funny, but could be better in the graphics (and some in the sound) department.

good work.

Topdrawer responds:

Thanks, but what do you mean by "generic graphics"? Every last frame in this movie was drawn by hand including the bitmap background of the opening scene. I had no idea I was making generic graphics.

i liked it

there was no real point to the movie, which is understandable, but i liked it.

i always appreciated the music done by mazedude, the wolfenstein one was a neat touch.

in the end you can;'t really give criticism on how to get better or worse with these sort of prejects. it certantly doesn't take years to make, but it was presented well.
good work.

CountPoopoo responds:

Mazedude is awesome, thanks a lot for the review. I appreciate lower reviews as much as I appreciate 9s and 10s.

ha ha

You gave this entry a 3, raising its score to 2.25!
You're the saviour! You are one of a number of people who have helped keep this entry in the Portal!

Hm.. normally i'd blam this, but i would like to see more contetnt and original graphics, ok?
try and work with a concept and draw some stuff for urself. the music was cool, but hollow,

thank me, ur savior!

Kytempa responds:

omg! IS it relay you god? I have been waiting for this moment all my life! Can you tell me the meanin of life?

ah...

sorry big guy.. this just didn't connect with me. Overall, the story was kinda weak, and well, the animation was a bit slow. how the characters talked were ok, but it was sorta a hollow ring to it all... didn't quite connect with me.
The music was good, and overall, this wasn't bad, but with this larger flux of sprite movies, i can't help but be critical, sorry. I'm not all to fond of these hate stories going back and forth... yea.. they (shin (and moog)) suck.. ok. it doesn't mean too much to me.

not a bad movie.. but not my cup of tea. 3/5
i would improve on the animation and the text a bit... the voices were funny too... i would've liked to see em again.

Vinstigator responds:

Oh well, at least you liked the first one. But wait, I've just added voices! SO CHECK IT OUT!

hm...

Very good art and fbf except for a few anatomical errors on some legs in little clips... I think the file-size coulda been kept down with creative tweens on some of the still shots, and also, a little more fighting woulda caught my interest. It was good on most aspects except for the concept... which there was little to none of. I would suggest that you try and keep things a little more linear than this, but creativity is appreciated...
All that said and done, the music was cool and overall, it wasn't all that bad. hope to see some real animations outta you someday.
nice.
3/5

MonkeyClock responds:

This is about as animated as your ever going to get. Ever. A story has nothing to do with an animation. Idiot.

I've been coming to Newgrounds since about 1997, when the best score was 3.63 (fun fact). Things sure have changed since then. I used to animate...but I probably won't anymore. I revisit sporadically. I left my crap up here as a way to look at the past.
