Not bad at all

A really stylized movie with some great fbf.

However, the story.plot of this piece is really lacking, and the main character is a 'cliche' hero' at best. However, the characters and how they looked look really good, which wasn't just hard-core anime, but a bit more serious, just how I like it.

the music got a bit repetative, but overall, everything looked pretty good. Some animation segments, such as the walking and the opening of the door looked kinda lame, but the shading and the backgrounds (and characters) looked really well done.

I stilll didn't quite understand what had happened, and overall, that hurt this piece. No voices was well used with something like this, but when you make no real connection with the character in any way, and it feels like you've sene that character before, it's just not the same.

But this really looks like it could go somewhere. the crow animation in the beginning looked great, and I'm glad you made such a serious piece. keep up the great work, and work with story a bit more. I know it's the first episode, so I won't be too critical, but do your best to really establish this as something that's better than the rest.

best of luck, and good work.
excellent shading.

I'll have to admit:

You know how to do presentation, because no ordinary person could use images and colors in such a random fashion so easily, however, I'm not here to give you 5's and 10's based on pretty colors.

The story was non-existant, and the interactivity portion of this was un-needed and only helped to confuse me further. There's no progression, or seeming point, to this entire work. The art looked pretty good, since it wasn't animated much, i'd assume more detail on the characters. The music was alright, although kill bill, and other cliche's take away from your originality.

The voice(s) for this work were not the best. Popping, static, and many times, unable to hit the right tone or mood really hurt this project as well. As a voice actor, I can tell you that voices are most important for establishing good characters and for also bringing the story to life.

Please, PLEASE!!!! work on your story. The randomness and the looks feel great, but what point will it have if it doesn't have a compelling story to make us wonder why and who? Get attached to the characters and want to see more and more because of what will happen next, not 'how will it look?'.

Overall, this is a neat piece that obviously isn't ameture, but it's far from anything I would consider worth-while (in the sense of a great flash) when drawn out over many episodes.

You're on the right track, so keep it up! (I think you had some stuff about voices in your stuff too) Like I said, it looks great, but you need to work hard on all areas. And get rid of that interactivity... it really added nothing to the story that was non-existant. Good attempt at a .hack take, but really, it doesn't work well (without a story behind it!)

best of luck!

ugh...

What relating. people think far too broad.

'I H8 sc00l and this r0x!1!'

that's dumb. As a movie, the song was annoying, the animation was slow, choppy, partially tweened, and the fbf was decent, but nothing special.

the graphics were just bad, lame, bad! The face had no eyes, because the hair, and that lopsided face and poorly drawn body.

he loooves to surf, oh no3s! school!
the plot is predictable, cheap, and pointless.

This movie epitomised everything I hate about the masses at NG, and where smart voters died.

this isn't about relation. yea, school is back, but this makes up for it.

sorry big guy, but this is just a poor movie with lame written all over it. Work on everything, make something worth your time.

Very well made...

but it just doesn't seem like it syncs with the music. More so, I would hear the music, but I always saw the animation as separate. This is one way to take you out of the movie, which was a bit disapointing.

The animation was smooth and clear, and overall, it just looked good. No errors technically, and the kirby mini-bosses always looked cool. Meta-knight isn't really a mini-boss, so I didn't care much if he was omitted from this.

No story, nothing really, can't get into it so much.

Like I said, the only problem was that even with both sets of music, it just feels like watching a silent animation, with music just there. It felt weird to watch. But a solid work with beautiful animation and a very good old-new kirby feel. Great job, but work with how music affects the whole performance. Anything can look great, but it's hard to make it feel great too.

nice work, but still a little bit to work on.

4/5

4.05/5.00 would be my official score. good work.

love it

the knox part and all was great.

another interesting slap-together that i just enjoy. good song with the menu and the sarcasm, oh I love it. each episode is a lovely dip of sarcasm. makes me laugh, especially your fans.

keep at it. great stuff, a noble (and stupid), noble (yet not as easy as it sounds), funny cause.

keep them coming.

great movie

We had talked about this, and I am still a bit embarrassed of my own voice. But this turned out real well, for the most part, wonderful backgrounds, but my all time favorite were the expressions. The looks and how they changed on christain's face were very nice to see. The music plays a big part in setting, and expressions were well done. Some things look a bit off, but nothing to take you out of the experience.(i.e a hand here and there... no big stuff (and the sidewalk, but that's hard angle)

The only down-side to the whole thing is the voices. Some are good, but sometimes, mostly mine, are off their mark, which I apologize.

However, I'm see you kept that cartoony scream in from the lunch scene, and everything just progressed nicely. Again, just to see each face work over time is quite nice.

A fantastic serious movie, and a terrible but usual chapter in human nature. Good serious movie-documentery. excellunt use of audio in the credits.

In the long run, this is a great movie, and much different than the usual "serious" stereotypical crap on NG. Excellent work, glad to help with input and voices.

not bad...

if it had a little more meaning, I'd give it the edge

animation was smooth, and use of sound wan't to bad, although i personally don't like the music.

mostly, the lack of plot, concept, or anything really, held this back. this is a beautiful looking submission, just... no meat to it.

good work, but do something... more fulfilling next time.

it would be good if it had a point.

but... it didn't. And you can't hide behind your reasons and points as explained in all the comments. It's a generic concept and well, short.

Now, on the posative side, it looked great. Good animation, good music. that's about it.

the backgrounds were kinda lame, and gratuitous animation techniques were more of a time filler than a sound use. (i.e the alpha shots 'back-flip')

regardless of your points, this offers no excuse for me to grade easier. The plot was non-existant, the colors were unoriginal, and well, just the base of it all was sorta boring. And the music is a bit dry, but I like that sort of choir stuff.

Like I said, looks good, but so short and unfullfilling that I can't find too much to be happy about. Nice work, but use your quality for something better.

lol

diabling the play/rewind funtion! that's funny, and a sneaky way to get more views from the people who want the funny. I love it! ha ha, i laugh again.

lol

that po po po po po po po pokemon was halarious.

you guys may not be advanced or in depth, but you always get a good laugh out of me. meaybe because it's immature, or maybe it's the responses of angry people, makes me smile.

keep em coming.

I've been coming to Newgrounds since about 1997, when the best score was 3.63 (fun fact). Things sure have changed since then. I used to animate...but I probably won't anymore. I revisit sporadically. I left my crap up here as a way to look at the past.
